Have you tried pulling the clutch pedal back? I had this problem in a remote part of North Am, with a 9K, and tied some string down on the lower part of the clutch pedal, other end of string on a driver's door item, with some looseness; then after using the clutch carefully (knowing it would "bleed" itself to engaged position in a couple of seconds or less) I pulled the clutch pedal up again with the string, which was ready to my hand, ready for the next use. This method took me through several hundred miles of driving back to my part of civilization. I could get out of the car, go off and do things, and it was all ready to continue when I returned. The key was not to push the clutch pedal out unless I knew it was going to be OK for it to engage within 1 -2 sec, which didn't require too much anticipation!
