I also use the perfect speakers from infinity. I have a single perfect 12.1 & a 6.1 component set, awesome & I bet a paid a lot less then you did from Crutchfield :o)
Anyways, I STRONGLY suggest people NOT buy form crutchfield. Yes, they do offer customer support but you don't have a clue how the stuff works until you open it from the box. Going with a local shop, you will find the prices will often times be better, especially if you buy from them often. It's also much easier to get products fixed of they break down for some reason. Is't aslo easy to compare a $35 speaker to a $600 component set :o)
I have been in the audio industry for 15 years & have sold electronics for part of that. I would laugh when people would come in with crutchfield to compare prices. We were almost ALWAYS cheaper & gave much better service. The only thing a local shop won't compete with is products on clearance.
So ya know, you can usually take 40-50% off of retail price for a radio/amp & that's what the store pays. Alpine products are actually 30-40% off retail. Speaker wise, most products are 60-70% of retail. So go to a local shop & talk to them about giving a price break, they will do it if you ask :o)
Amp wise, depending on what you have to spend, there are a few 5 channel amp which could easily power your entire system. But if cost is a major issue, just get a 4 channel amp with internal X-overs & power the front & the single sub.
