I'm trying to picture in my mind what would stop you from raising the radiator and core support enough to get the clutch shaft out, or at least far enough to get it to clear the slave. The upper radiator house can be a problem. It is not long enough to give you the play you need for clearance IMO, but I have never tried it this way, so I'm guessing....just something to think about.
Why not pull the hood?...it's only two bolts and can be removed and installed by yourself. I've done it solo many many times before.
What will you have to unbolt....4 bolts/nuts for the core support, remove grille and headlight bezels, 4 screws for the lower headlight bucket mountings, and unplug the radiator fan.
I just took a measurement....you will need to lift the radiator and core support almost 5 inches to get enough clearance to remove the shaft.
