It's all personal preference, but I wouldn't waste my money on an NGK plug. When SAAB started using NGKs in '74, I was working at a dealer. I would pull four plugs out of a fuel injected car, where the fuel delivery is supposed to be the same, and one plug would be burning white hot (lean) and another would be burning black (rich). Someone told me that NGK plugs tend to work in a wider heat range than other brands and each plug seeks it's own operating temperature, which would explain the color differences. The dealer I worked for was also a Chevy dealer and we started using 43XLS Delco plugs, and never had any trouble with them. I use them in my '78 99L.
