BIG modification feasibility question for everybody

OK folks, wrap your brains around his little dilemma..!
On the basis of having a nice 99 3 door and a rear-ended 900, neither of which owe me much money, what would you reckon to the feasibility of grafting the front section of the 900 onto the 99 to make room properly for a 16v turbo motor and all the other goodies? [900 sections being, engine compartment floor etc wings bonnet plus scuttle and windscreen]
Other factors to consider: car will be extensively modified in other ways also, bodily and interior; owner does have considerable welding skills and access to equipment; as well as being totally nuts! ;)
Or should I just go out, spend lots of money on a 900 Aero/SPG/16S, modify that and throw away the other two cars?
Discuss!?
