I've posted on this before and why I think that it is a bad idea to put dealerships in the northern 'burbs. When the McMansion crowd decides that they like Saabs, this will be an indication that Saab have made a wrong turn in design. This could be happening soon with the new truck. My experience has been that many folks in the northern 'burbs are white trash that came into a little bit of money. They are often have rural origins so they like to live as far from Dallas as feasible and they love those Chebbie trucks because they are familiar, just like the old truck on the farm but with leather seats. They want everything to be "new" because their families could never afford anything new when they were kids. So they are into conspicuous consumption. The pathetic thing is that many of these people are in a lot of debt and when the next recession comes, they won't be able make the payments on all their toys and their gas guzzling trucks.
