remember, even though SAAB's four cylinders give V6-V8 performance, they don't posses hardly any power at very low engine speeds. It's not a good idea to put stress on engines like that. You should be above at least 2000rpm before shifting into 4th and 5th gear to reduce this stess. I don't put my car into 5th gear unless I'm above 45-50mph. Although I'm not sure why you didn't experience this in the base 9-3...different gearing? I have experienced this vibration when I take a turn real slow and forget to down shift to 2nd from 3rd gear, so I wouldn't worry about it.
