I finally received my Dawes controller and connected it to my '99 93 HOT. Thanks to Keith (and others) installation took all of 10 minutes.
Observations:
WOW This thing is fast! Especially noticable in the lower gears. If I floor it in 1st, the tires will spin easily. Care has to be taken while taking off quickly while turning (ie right turn at a stop light) or else the inside tire spins. Lots of fun for me - not so good for the expensive Mich. Pilots. Spool-up seems a bit quicker.
I kept increasing the boost until the guage was hitting a bit past the red-zone halfway mark. Does the HOT have a higher boost cutoff limit than the base? My nerve gave out before I hit the cutoff...
WOW this thing is fast - even easier to scare passengers now :)
Are any of you others that are running MBC's concerned with drivetrain stress from the extra power, or are the SAAB's that overbuilt? Do Viggen's have different a trans? I realize that more power equals more wear, but don't want it to grenade at 40K miles!!!
Anyway thanks to everyone that experimented before me and passed the info along..
