Everything is much easier with the softer spring in the regulator. I got it tuned quite well yesterday. Spool-up is definately better and the pull at highway speeds is almost unreal at times. Still need to reduce restriction in the intake (Dean's list), so won't be running the controller daily until then (if at all). According to the factory guage, pressure holds strong just below fuel cut in upper gears, but drops off from peak in first...still trying to figure that one out. On the list of modifications now are the check valve back bleed to improve response at the gear changes and some kind of heat shield. I think that the heat the controller is being exposed to in its current location is excessive. Will install longer hose runs to mount the unit further to the left.
Also, I just ordered the parts needed to make a Dawes valve so I can compare results. Will post more on that when they arrive.
