I have a Viggen, so these comments are for the Viggen:

(1) All wheel drive, or something to reduce torque steer/camber steer/whatever it is. I was out yesterday in the rain, and had to hold onto the steering wheel very hard because the car was all over the road in 2cnd with some power to the wheels. I'm sure that part of this is due to the P6000 tires, but I've experienced this "dance" a lot if gunning it on an uneven, dry surface. As an engineer, however, I always think of how to do these types of things. Right now, there's not much room underneath the car to stick another differential and associated equipment. Not to mention that there would have to be an axle to drive the rear wheels. This means that they might have to reduce headroom or make other adjustments. One reason I bought the car is that Saab makes an excellent use of interior space. The car's cabin is very tall. On the other hand, the car is narrow, but two people can sit in it without touching each other. So, if AWD is added, the interior cabin space might diminish, which wouldn't be good.

(2) An option for high intensity discharge lights.

(3) An option for a map display, although this will never come up because of Onstar.

(4) Cheaper Onstar. I'd pay for the "safety" portion if it was $10/month. Or how about a one-time charge of $500 (or so) for the safety feature. This would make it like a Lojack system.

(5) More interior storage space (pockets, etc.). Although I don't know where they could get any more storage space.

(6) Better rear suspension, hopefully of a type where the spring rate decreases but the performance remains the same. Someone else has mentioned a stiffer chassis, but I'm not sure how I can even tell if the chassis isn't stiff.

(7) Better manual transmission/shifter. I've had several times where I cannot get the car into the gear I want to put it in. I've had to pull the shifter out and put it back in. (I've read the bulletin on this, but my car's ID isn't within the range in the bulletin). This is worse when the car isn't warmed up (which is natural -- my truck is horrible in this regard), but it's happened to me even after I know the car is plenty warm. Shifting also seems a little vague.
