I would check out "carsdirect.com". You may not want to choose them as your buying service, but they do give you the invoice price, MSRP, and then their price. I have heard that "Autobytel" is also very good. Both of my brothers-in-law have used them to purchase new vehicles.
Personally, I have a real problem with VW offerring only a 2 year bumper to bumper warrenty on their cars. If Kia can do 10, VW ought to be able to handle at least 4. Yes, you can purchase an extended warrenty and if you do decide to go that route, I would suggest you check out "warrentydirect.com". They were highly recommended by a friend who has a used boxster.
Best of Luck in your search.
