I have had this problem as well with my 2000 base. I don't recall having it however with a 1995 base however. The problem seems to be intermitant, much more obvious on warmer days than cooler days, definately worse when the car has been sitting still warm after a drive, but just yesterday it was not a problem with the AC off even though it was high 80s. I suspect its an issue of the "fresh air" coming from under the hood but also possibly the temp controls not being precise, ie the dial says no heat but the actual thermostat is asking for some heat. The bottom line is that its completely unacceptable in any modern car, much less one that is considered "premium". This is just another example of the little things that say, something other than a Saab next time. Yes, the turbo is nice but no match for a good 3 liter V6. Sorry, but its the truth.
