I too was looking for a practical car to augment the M Roadster back in February and was very interested in the 330ci, or even the 325. In going through my due dilligence, I checked out Saab and was very glad I did. At the end of the day I bought an '01 9-3 SE. It's not a BMW, but that's a good thing because it offers an equally entertaining but completely different driving experience from the Roadster. I am very pleased with the car.
As for your questions... I like the split passenger mirror better than the typical convex ones. It does take a little while to get used to it. My dealership is at least as good as the BMW dealership I work with, but they are a lot farther away. If you're concerned, check some references or skulk around the service department and ask people their opinions.
BTW: you'll probably get more comments if you post your questions under its own thread. People here are very helpful. You can also search the pages for input.
Good luck.
