Screwing the unit together (ie clockwise) raises the boost. To do this, you have to loosen the lock nut below the knob. On mine, this means turning the valve body while holding onto the knob, but I'm not sure if yours will be the same. Mines home-made and may differ just slightly from Dawes's unit.
To tune the unit, you're screwing the controller together incrementally, then testing the car under wide open throttle. Every time you do this, the boost will go up slightly. You know you've gone as high as you can go when you feel the fuel cut. (This is the ECU's way of keeping boost pressure from going above a certain point. We usually tune the controller to just below fuel cut as this provides maximum boost permitted by the ECU.) At this point, you want to turn down the boost a little (screw the controller apart) and then test once again. If you still get fuel cut, you have to turn it down some more.
Also looking forward to more impressions on the new bulbs. I have yet to tell if it's just hype or really provides better visibility.
