Hi,
Do you remember Einstein's key insight which allowed him to formulate
General Relativity?
So, consider a highway on which all the cars have identical velocity
curves (same speed and acceleration). In the frame of reference of
traffic, maintaining zero speed involves force which is applied to
driver's back. This force feels just like force one feels on one's
back when he is lying in bed in a gravitational field.
It feels the same, so it MUST be the same.
Now, remove the driving wheels and replace with force which allows
car to maintain zero speed. On wet pavement, non-driving wheels can
be completely removed and replaced with nothing. With RWD, force is
applied below center of gravity. With FWD, force is applied above
center of gravity.
I'll not insult this BB's intelligence with trivial multi-variate
calculus. I'm already bored ... ho hum ... NEXT! :-)
thanks
Jae
