Hey Ron, I'm looking for honesty here! I want to be realistic about this car...like I said...no deep pockets...so I appreciate your feedback...that's why I'm posting here...you all have experience with these cars...if I find out it's not right..then I keep looking! The web has made searching for info on cars easy to do...the problem I'm having is that if you look hard enough you will find serious issue with any make of car...I thought the PT Cruiser was really cool...but all the bad press about Chrysler and that particular car...I crossed that off! The problem with me is I've wanted a Saab for over 20 yrs...I test drove a used Saab 99 back in the day...but it was on the high end of my price point at that time...and even back in the 80's the buzz was that they were expensive to maintain... but the car was still sooo cool...practicality won out... I ended up with a used Honda Accord...very pedestrian, but functional. I currently have a 94 Isuzu Trooper...and nothing is cheap on that! At this point I really want to find out if Saab's are truly reliable and that in the event of a repair I'm not going to have to sell my vital organs to get it fixed! So I will take your advise and check on various parts pricing...I have some idea of whats things go for on my Isuzu, at least I can kinda compare...so thanks again!
To any other readers...please add your two cents!
