At the risk of offending the NG900 board, I think that Baab's advice is good - 1994 was the first year of Saab New Generation 900 and not all the bugs were completely worked out. Perhaps look around for a later year without worrying so much about higher mileage, or even step back one year to a 1993 which was the last of the old style 900 (often called Classic). I've owned four classic 900's and they've all been quite reliable cars that have gone the distance (sold one at 125K miles to get the 900T I wanted that was two year older, later that 900T was broadsided and put out of fully working status at 210K miles, we have another at 165K miles and another at 155K miles).
Hope that helps,
-Scott
