With the relative low miles you are putting on the car you have to be particularly careful about frequent oil changes. My instruction manual recommends oil changes every 10K miles or every 5K miles for "severe operation". However, the experts on this board recommend using a synthetic oil such as Mobil 1 and changing it every 3K miles. Had I followed that advice, I am sure I wouldn't have had to spend a ton of money on replacing my engine. (the balance shaft/lubrication problem that seems to hit the non-turbo engines, see several posts on this board). If you have an early 97 model you may have a clutch cable that is prone to breaking. No big deal, but inconvenient if it breaks when you are far from home. Other than that, enjoy your drive!
