And in turn, the export bubbles in foreign countries (Asian and European) were caused by the banking/military-industrial-complex bubble in the US, where the monetary base of the whole world is made out of thin air. Keynesian monetary inflationary solutions to all economic problems redistributes wealth to those closer to the source of new money creation, at the expense of those further down the line. That gives the financial industry a huge advantage in recruiting young workers among college graduates. The pre-eminence of US military overseas reduces the cost of doing business overseas by removing the inherent risks of having to deal with foreign despots. That fundamentally unbalances the pricing power between capital and labor, and finance vs. engineering/manufacturing. Employers who hire people here end up paying for the cost of their competitors who ship jobs overseas under the protection of the US military. That's why the US GDP ended up almost half consisted of finance, especially flipping houses and mortgage to one another.
