that's what I've normally done + probably will continue to do... that said, I always re-torque the wheel bolts after someone touches them anyway... usually it goes the other way and they are overtightened, which is much more manageable to deal with in the driveway with a big breaker bar than fixing a flat by the side of the road in the middle of january with more basic tools...
