Yeah, forced air heating is great. I don't think a dedicated return line is even necessary: just open the bathroom door after shower, and the air will be recycled through the living room inlets.
I actually don't use my clothes drier in winter heating months, but instead hang clothing out on coat hangers/driers in the living room; the forced air heating system dries them out in one over-night, and saves me the need to run the humidifier. (May come as a shock to people who think I'm somehow against saving energy; LOL; I'm only for inidividual freedom of choice, and saving energy is my personal individual choice)
Too bad my bathrooms are situated far away from the centrally heating ducts. In your lucky setup, you might be able to reduce the "chimney effect" by installing a mechanical louvred vent cover that comes with a lever that adjusts the louvre opening angle like weather station shutter. That's how the relative heating output ratio between/among different levels of my house is controlled.
