Vintage SAABs are now GM heritage???How's that?

How is it that the GM press releases call a '67 two-stroke SAAB, part of GM heritage? If you asked GM in '67 what they thought of SAABs, they would have said "those are pieces of junk, buy a GM car."
SAAB's heritage was with the two-strokes and with Erik Carlson and rally racing, not GM's.
If SAAB as an independent company no longer exists, it doesn't mean their heritage is gone. I'm glad I got rid of my 1999 non-SAAB plastic 9-3, and bought a classic 900 again. I'm proud of the SAAB heritage that produced my '69 Saab Sonett, but I'm glad GM had nothing to do with it, and it is not part of their heritage.
