Doesnt the ecu get its boost reading from the MAP sensor and its knock reading from the knock sensor? Therefore the MAP sensor is always telling the computer how much boost is running and the knock sensor is telling the ecu if the motor is knocking. Doesnt the ecu then figure out between the two of those what kind of ignition and fuel mapping to use?? Correct me if im wrong but using the boost controller, I will still have good ignition and fuel mapping coming from my stock ecu (up to around 21psi) correct? And the ecu will still have the ability to retard or advance as needed.
