If being smoked at standing starts bothers you, time to change cars. Don't get me wrong - I love Saabs and own nothing else, but they're not drag racers. Even with all the upgrades mentioned, it's doubtful your 0-100 km time could be much under 6 seconds, due to traction limitation with FWD. In side-by-side drag racing, you might also encounter controllability problems with the kind of power you're talking about, leading to further embarassment.
I'd suggest an Audi S4 quattro or A4 quattro with upgrades. I read a good article more than a year ago in European Car about upgrading a '97 (I think) A6 quattro. Folks who tune these cars talk about power in excess of 300 hp and not being able to wipe the grins from their faces. The A6 upgrade was with Hoppenfield (or Hoppen something) parts. The writer talked about having gotten the opportunity to drive a Porsche 911 turbo AWD the next day, and the Audi was more neck-snapping. I remember another story about a souped-up A4 on the Autobahn at 180 mph, and the driver accidentally lowered a window, and everything loose in the car was sucked out onto the Autobahn. Credit him with not losing control of the car with stuff flying around the interior. These cars can be fast, both off the line and top end.
