Here's the reason I ask...I have an auto 04 9-5 aero and want to get tuning it, but want to save my transmission.
Here's what I know.
Horsepower is a calculation of "work" done. In the case of a car, the engine produces torque. And through magic, when torque is turned into forward acceleration, its called Horsepower.
So, simply put...
X Torque at X RPM = Horsepower. I know its more involved than that.
So, if the magic number for my autobox is 300ft-lbs of torque, and the Aero makes 270ft-lbs of torque, is my tuning future basically limited to a stage 2 setup from most tuners?
Some input from the guys who actually tune Saabs would be helpfull.
