I would second John regarding the need for upgraded pistons. I went to stage/3 on both our aero and viggen, and though both are right around 300hp, I have not experienced any issues. Getting rid of the limiter on 1st and 2nd gears in the viggen was the biggest gain,(3rd gear was already a blast to use)so I did not notice much change in the upper gears. Unlike my 97 aero, where the gains where very noticeable in all gears and at the top end.
Software and exhaust can get you to 300 easily, all without having to muck around with internals.
