Sounds similar to the Abbott Racing upgarde... I understand that dealers in the UK offer SAABs with the Abbott Racing (http://www.abbottracing.com/) reprogrammed ECU and honor the original SAAB warranty. The HP and Torque numbers for the Abbott Racing upgrade are similar to what you have quoted. There are no reported problems with the upgrade. There have been a few rumors on this BB that SAAB was going to offer similar performance upgrades through the SAAB dealers.
One of the great benefits of the high performance upgrade is that the fuel economy is not effected if you don't push the accelerator too hard. But it is very nice to have the extra power when you want it.
Get the deal in writing and enjoy your new SAAB.
