I too did not know there were roads where you could go 150 mph/240 kph anywhere in the world, at around 20,000 feet above sea level! Enlighten us, where is this? At that kind of elevation, how are YOU going to breath properly, much less the car? I guess it's not too stressful on the body sitting in a car..
20,000 feet... I just cannot imagine where that would be, except perhaps the Himalayas as someone else mentioned. And I wasn't aware they had freeways there. Guess there could be some straight stretch of two lane road for several miles, which you'd need to achieve top speed.
But as to the temperature, it seems very odd to me that any place at that elevation would get so hot! Maybe it's true, but again, where?!@ That's just over the all time (well since they started keeping track) high temperature for Seattle, which is at sea level. Our highest paved road in Washington is at only 6400 feet, and even with that small altitude difference, the temperature is typically 20 degrees F cooler in the summer there than at sea level.
