The Speedvision S4 race car driven by Derek Bell and others. One of them mentioned that the AWD was a bit more difficult to correct mid turn where in a rear wheel drive car is a bit more correctable.
They mentioned that they are a bit outclass racing a sedan weighing 3000 lbs. with 420 horsepower(RS4 engine). Standing starts and rain are there only advantage over the rest of the field.
I have also followed the chipped S4's on audiworld.com and a few were a bit disappointed with the chipped and air filtered S4. Saying that when drag raced againist a stock one that they barely pulled away. There most effected at higher RPMs. The little K03 turbos and not enough intercooler surface don't help the top end but give noticeable mid range improvement over stock.
