I just returned from the dyno after testing my new stage 3 SQR ecu in my 95 900SE.
226 whp and 243 ftlbs of torque.....on a dynojet 240 rolling road.
The car is now a frigging rocket!!! SQR lived up to its billing! Thankyou Frank!
I would love to know the figures at 100 mph in 30F temperatures when the intercooler is working.
This is my third trip to the dyno in a month. My Abbott ecu and 10 psi wastegate provided 190 whp and 209 ftlbs on my previous two visits. Shortening the wastegate improved spoolup but didn't change the peak numbers. Nice performance but the car is now a rip snorting beast!
The SQR software provided more horsepower and torque across the entire rpm range...I think I need a new dump valve as 21 psi of boost caused it to intermittantly crack open at full boost.
My brother came with me in his Volvo V70. His stock engine(2.3L, 5 cylinder, 236 hp)produced 212 whp on the same dyno last week.......He added a 2.5" cat back, K&N and modified ECU this week and produced 229 whp and an impressive 270 ftlbs of torque.....but his ride weighs 400 more lbs than my Saab.
Given my existing mods what should I do now...a better intercooler or water injection(I live in Toronto....not exactly hot but 21 psi of boost)???
3" intake pipe
K&N
Viggen IC
TD04 15T 6cm2 turbo
3" downpipe/Race Cat
2.5" catback
stage 3 SQR ECU (1.54 bar)
thanks johnB
