You need to have your spearco or cartech intercooler custom made. I have post a comparison on intercooler on the ng900 board but have cut and pasted it for you. As you can see even getting a viggen intercooler is an improvement over the stock ng900 intercooler but in terms of upgrading for the price/performanced gain a custom unit will yeild the best results.
The specs and prices on the intercooler are as followed
Prices and Flow rates per CFM's (Cartech Racing intercoolers)
6.0" 9.0" $141.00 290
6.0 12.0 $188.00 385
6.0 18.0 $282.00 570
6.0 24.0 $365.00 770
6.0 30.0 $471.00 960
8.0 9.0 $148.00 275
8.0 12.0 $192.00 365
8.0 18.0 $286.00 550
8.0 24.0 $396.00 730
8.0 33.0 $489.00 1030
These cores have an unusually high effeciency for two reasons. The turbulator design virtually assures the air charge gets out of the laminar flow and up against the core walls. Secondly, the core is specifically shaped to increase the ambient air penetration of the core thus permitting a greater mass flow of cooling air.
**************************************************************************
Abbotts spec's
Standard 900/9-3 unit 80.7 cfm
Abbott Racing Unit 115.1 cfm
12 Bhp increase at 5000 RPM from a 34 CFM's increase. The cost of £495 which is 1.44 per 1 USD = around $712 + shipping.
**************************************************************************
The Viggen intercooler spec's from Dean are
core is 6&5/8" high or 167.5mm
core length exposed to air flow is 555mm or around 21&3/4"
core frame is 56.5mm deep.
I wonder if any one know the spec's for the viggen intercooler. I'm assuming that it is around the same as the abbott model but that's an assumption. Come on Dr. Boost we know you have that spec's, help us out here please.
