Hey nick how's it going?
The TD04 is better than the T25 turbo but I don't think the difference is that spectacular.. I mean come one Saab had it stock on MY>99!! (although I think with smaller ex. housing than on the 9000)
Why not have your T25 upgraded by a turbo specialist? with bigger exhaust housing and bigger compressor- T28 spec; (not sure if a bigger comp. housing will fit -otherwise have the existing one machined to accommodate the wheel) or even change the turbine as well, and put an even bigger compressor in.
That way you can have a turbo with significant future potential -possibly reach the limits of the fuel system and have to upgrade that as well. Or otherwise, produce the same power as you were planning with the TD04 at lower boost and with lower backpressure (and thus engine temps).
I'm really not sure getting this 9000-spec TD04 is as good an idea.
