Didn't someone at Car & Driver just do an editorial as to what is what?
Seems like OEM's are easing back to rwd, especially as hp increases. There is no way fwd can handle big hp.
Article said that as tire technology has gotten better that the advantage of fwd in winter conditions has decreased. As long as you put good winter tires on your rwd car.
Also, has to be a reason that engineering driven OE's like MB, BMW and Porsche never got on the fwd bandwagon. Even their awd cars are heavily rwd biased.
Ah,there is nothing like fwd darty acceleration and fwd understeer if you go in too hot.
