I use to use 87 octane in my 1999 for about 5 months but was told to try to move up to something higher. So for the last 5 fill ups, (using different locations) i've filled up on 93 octane. Now i have noticed that my car gets about 4 miles less a gallon than i was getting. It use to be around 28, now it is around 24 a gallon. Is this normal to get a decrease of that much, or is it perhaps the gas stations I've been going to have to much alcohol/water/ect... in the gas they are selling. My driving habits have not changed and i drive the same stip of highway everyday. The only other thing i can think of is I added an air intake recently from genuine saab made for my car, I doubt it is because of that though. Thanks
