Maybe Saab's mission needs to held to account too

I can see both sides of this coin.
But my prior experiences with other vehicles makes me wonder about Saabs, but then perhaps other modern vehicles are just as bad.
I have never had as many problems with other vehicles, and never needed a tow trucks like I have with Saabs.
Routine problems seem to be DI (electronics) and belts/pullies.
So my mission is to avoid these failures (tow truck) through preventative maintenance and/or having a spare at hand. So to help others in this regard, I have to stress the need for a spare DI. Some folks do not like this, others get the message.
And we all need to be aware of the shortcommings of these vehicles, that is simply product knowledge. If nothing failed or wore out, what would we be doing here? After a while, logging in to tell each other about how wonderfully happy we are would get old.
So it is all about helping each other with problems and problems need to be talked about. And along with discussing the problems, it is emotionally healthy to dicuss the mental capacity and stability of some of the Saab designers who have done some things that are just simply stupid. It is a responsibity of an engineer to antiticpate failure modes. And it is also the responsibity of the engineer to design for maintenance. As an example, you do not move a 'known to fail' oil pressure switch behind the starter so that the routine replacement of this failure prone switch becomes a major costly project. The need to replace this switch approaches the need to replace platinum spark plugs. So the effort to replace that switch should not be more difficult than replacing spark plugs. When an engineer makes a blunder like that, they are simply not giving a damm about you the customer. You have a right to pissed off about that.
