It's killing me but I will still take the Saab

Maxima used to be very reliable when they were made in Japan. Its reliability dropped when Nissan made them in Tennesse. My 95 Altima was made in Tennesse and it had a lot of electronical problems.
I don't understand why Nissan put Bluetooth, Rear Heated Seats and Power Rear sunshade as the options as a non-premium brand. BTW, I think Saab dropped rear heated seats at one time (from 2002 - 2004 ??) but they brought it back (2005- ??). I think they should at least add Power Rear sunshade & bluetooth to a 9-5.
Nissan cars seem to be more solid than Toyota's. Honda's, and Mazda's. I found it out by knocked on and slapped their doors. Acura cars seem to be a little bit more solid than their "siblings". However, there is no way a Nissan will be safer and have more comfortable seats than a Saab or Volvo.
Most Saab drivers "attach" to their Saabs. We enjoy driving the cars, not abusing them because they have good horsepower & torque. My Saabs are liked family members (2 sons) in my family.
When you look at those Maxima & TL drivers, they drive liked a Grand AM drivers (if you know what I meant). It is dangerous to give that much horsepower to those people (and those housewives with SUV & minivan).
