I live in NJ. Though the state is highly dependent upon motor vehicle transportation, trust me, it's not the forte here.
Anyway, I was once driving down infamous Route 18 during rush hour when some nut case came out of a side street, crossed 3 lanes (I was in the fast lane) right in front of me, jumped on the grass median and headed north.
Then a few years later, I was headed north on Route 18 in the fast lane, late at night with a friend in the passenger seat. Suddenly we see a car headed our way in the fast lane. My friend screamed, "Switch lanes, switch lanes!" For some reason, I refused to, as I somehow figured the lunatic would switch lanes. He did, and I'm here to tell you about it today!
And for those of you, who never read an older post I put up, 2 years ago in my Saab 9 5 wagon, a guy had a heart attack at the wheel, crossed the grass median, and totalled my Saab. I had my baby fixed at great cost, as it was still cheaper than buying certified pre-owned, I owned her outright, and didn't want to hold a note on a new car. I had to foot the bill, other than the collission coverage from my own insurer, as the driver was dying and not negligent. In the state of NJ (shaped like a turd for a reason), his insurance company didn't have to pay a dime.
Something's telling me to get out of here and one day I will!
