Read performance BB, do searches, on sludge issues and read articles in "state of nines". Even removing 90% of sludge the other 10% will reinfect the engine, as even new oil collects and sticks to the old sludge. Sludge is gobs of filthy condensed particulate oil. Like what washed up on the beaches from BP's oil off-shore drilling. Sludge moves all over the internals of the engine. If turbo is oil cooled, then it screws up that component also. Buying a used 9-5, sludge is always an issue, it has to do with how it was designed. If you bought new and didn't change oil with mobil 1 0W40 or eqivelent every 5000 miles and making short trips allowing the catylitic converter to fry the oil sump makes sludge. Try that fellows removable oil sump and better screen if you like, I hope it works, good luck and let us know.
