go to performance BB and type in "engine sludge additives". Many folks have posted about all you need to know about how these 9-5 engines get sludged and whether or not to use additives like you are wondering about. I'm just tring to help, really. I'm certianly putting in the time. I am respectful, and really contributing to this 9-5 BB because I own a 9-5 Aero. Mosly, I learned about all these 9-5 issues from reading posts, doing searches on performance BB and talking with Saab and indy Saab mechanics. I find folk's help on all the BB's are informing. Love saabnet! BTW, I never had a sludged car before, maybe that's why I'm disappointed in GM. I don't dislike GM, just the way they handled assembling/ configering a saab, which I love and dislike what they did to the brand. When you do the searches on the performance BB, try searching for other key words like "engine sludge 9-5", or similar. I'm on some back-dated posts asking similar q's as you, that's how I learn. I hope you don't take offense, I may come off harshly, from what I gather by your postings, but I'm hoping folks will be informed. My classic 1993 900Turbo has no sludge with over 2000 miles, better design.
