If you go with SAAB's no-charge service/maintenance program, you'll get the SAAB semi-synthetic 5W-30.
You can pay an up-charge at most dealerships to get the SAAB 0W-30 Turbo Full Synthetic oil. Fees vary from dealer to dealer.
Or, you could purchase the Mobil 1 oil of your choice according to your owners manual(5W-30/0W-30/5W-40 is the basic viscosity recommendation, and Mobil 1 0W-40 is the extreme recommendation) and take it to your dealer when they perform the no charge service.
Answering you question, I would investigate the cost to STAY with full synthetic. In the long term, it's worth it. The SAAB 0W-30 full synthetic is the Long-life oil (GM-LL-A-025 spec), so you could go the full 10,000 miles between changes for paying a few additional $$.
Hope this helps.
