Many (if not all) cycles have a common oil sump for the engine and the trans, and use wet clutches (like transmissions have - the synchros in manuals and the bands and clutch packs in a/t). Motorcycle oil has the same high friction characteristics that make RedLine MTL, etc., work so well. And motorcycles typically have roller crank bearings, not "journal" bearings. There's just too much different about M/C designs to use Mobil 1 Motorcycle Oil. If you want a 10W40 synthetic that badly, seek out RedLine or AmSoil 10W40, or use Castrol's "Called Synthetic".
