If the car runs OK, but stalls when it warms up, my first thought is NOT the AMM. The usual signs of a bad AMM are a really bad cold idle, and pretty impressive hesitation accelerating from a stop.
The ECU uses the AMM to determine mixture when the car is cold (before the O2 sensor warms up), so that's why you'd get a lumpy cold idle. It also uses the AMM to determine large changes in air flow (like going from the closed throttle of idle to open throttle of accelerating). It is *possible* that the problem is an AMM that is affected by temperature. My fear is that the AMM is by far the easiest component to replace in the system (the only tool you need is opposable thumbs), so it gets the most attention. After all, if they're wrong, they can always replace something else.
The quickest way to diagnose a bad AMM is to swap it out for a known good one.
What are the symptoms of the car 'not stay running'? Does it stall while you're driving it, or does it drive OK, but fail to keep an idle? How long after starting? What other symptoms?
