Customers complaints about custom made items Posted by Don [Email] (#1099) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don) on Fri, 15 Jun 2001 16:50:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Why don't we start by understanding that seat covers, headliners, etc. are custom made items. Now, for people who don't know what that means, custom made means made for the customer! I cannot order a custom made item from my manufacturer in Asia until I pay for it up front. This way he knows (the manufacturer) that he cannot get stuck with the items. The same thing applies to me. We DO NOT stock these items, nor does my manufacturer. By the same token, I just ordered a rebuilt 3-speed automatic for a customer. Amazingly enough, this item wasn't in stock and I had to pay for it up front for them to do the work. This way they knew they would not get stuck with it. So I don't understand what the problem is.
We have NEVER charged someone and then didn't send the product, like I read on this board in the past. All of customers who ordered and received seat covers (and other custom made items) were VERY happy. Too bad you only hear about the bad stuff...
Also, each customer receives a receipt/e-mail when they place an order UNLESS they forget to put in their e-mail address.
To all our good customers out there, things are almost back to normal after our manufacturer's fire 6 months ago. We almost cancelled the seat cover program because we couldn't find another supplier. We stuck it out (with our manufacturer) and are glad we did; as our seat covers and customers speak for themselves. They are the ones you don't hear about.
Thanks for your support.
