I think the T8 motor has more torque than the T16, and we all know that HP's aren't the whole truth. I kind of like to cruise 40km/h on 5th gear =) no torque problems here=) Seriously. The 8v engine has to be more reliable, less moving parts, less trouble. Only thing that comes to mind is the cracking exhaust manifold.
Anyway, as mentioned before, 8v or a 16v, it's still a SAAB.
