Retaining Wire- the "U clamp" that goes thru the holes of the brake pads has a "retaining pin" on the far side of it that prevents the U Clamp from sliding out. If you have a Bentley manual, you can see it in the diagram on page 517-2 (it's #12 in the diagram). It's basically a wire that goes thru a small hole at the end of the U Clamp, which would prevent the U Clamp from sliding out.

How do i adjust the caliper? Is it a DIY job? I took a quick look in the Bentley and only see info on replacing the calipers.

U profile VS V profile- i didn't think i did a good job at explaining this, let me try again. The surface of the rotors looks good, except for the surface area 1/4 of an inch from the edge, where the rotor basically is "chipped" off in certain sections. As a result, if you were to only look at the circumference of the rotor, instead of being a 1/4 of an inch or so from left to right, some areas are narrower than that.

What characteristics are important when looking for a torque wrench. I'll probably end up going to Sears too, about how much was yours?

Thanks for helping with this, and "sticking it out" with my questions. If you need anymore info on anything to understand better, please let me know.
