Mine was $1100, including a new compressor and conversion to R134. Also required 3 trips to the indy mechanic. Basically, each time one part was replaced, another would fail...ended up with just about every part being new. I finally sold the car. It was the worst money I ever spent, especially when you consider my car was a convertible. The fact that the a/c was rebuilt did add to the resale value, but no way did I recoup the entire $1100.
If somebody had been able to tell me before I started to try getting it fixed how much money and aggravation it would be, I never would have attempted it.
