After selling a few car audio brands (alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, etc), Alpine was the best of what I sold. The lowest amount of problems as well as they simply sounded bettter! I have never been a fan of pioneer due to their beleif in lots of flashy lights as well as funky faceplate colors.
Presently I use a Eclipse deck which their entry level decks unfortunantly seems to be just a tad over what you want to spend. They have the best anti theft warante & I also feel the best looks, not all the flashy lights!!!!
Anyways, as you know there isn't much of a difference between decks in your price range. Do you plan on upgrading the system in the future with a external amp/amps? RCA ouputs would be required if you do & do not cost much more.
