To a point yes, but there is still a big difference (to some) between a $300 deck & a $800 deck even with the same amp/speaker setup. Many of the lesser priced decks are simply not designed for SQ but simply basic music & even with all kinds of processors/EQ/Amps, it will still be lacking in some arteas.
As you know, you can amplify any deck but is it is not designed for SQ then you will only amplify the already poor signal. Yes it will be louder but not cleaner!
My present deck is a Eclipse CD-8061 which costs about a third of your complete system. It took me a while to save up for the deck but it was the only deck I found which had the performance I desired. It has balanced 16v preouts which allowed me not to use any exrternal processors of any kind :o) I use Adcom amps which are very finiky, they require high voltage outputs & previously I used the GFA-4600 to accomplish this. This deck replaced a $600+ Alpine deck & there was a huge improvement in SQ & the deck was the only item I changed :o)
