I already went to the store and bought both of them, plan on returning one... personally i couldn't tell too much sound difference between each. I think the Alpine will look better in the cabin, but the Pioneer has a large selection of EQ settings (including a custom setting) which i like, although the Pioneer may also be VERY bright at nite.

Also, i was planning on installing myself just because i don't want some "kid" playing around inside my dash and i'd like to know i did it myself, although Circuit City offered free installation (which i hear requires an additional $15 wiring harness and a $20 install kit). I know the wiring harness will aide in the installation process, but is an install kit really necessary too if i do it myself? I thought everything was DIN now so that adaptations weren't necessary! Does an install kit make sense, or is this just a way for Circuit City to get a fee for their "free" installation?
