One exception I took to ChrisX recs. on ALL bearings.
I did not replace the pair of bearings on the input shaft assy. When I talked to an "expert shop" in Conn. (sponsor), the confided that they never replace this, as the procedure is iterative and touchy-feely, requires a 10 bazillion ton press to seat the bearings, etc., and above all they said they have NEVER seen these go bad unless an entire trans had been toasted.
I replaced all others, keep those assembled, and she is purrrrring along.
Good luck, been there and can feel your pain.
